The Alliance held its 2nd Anniversary Celebration Cocktail on October 17, 2014, the last day of the Beijing delegation trip at Four Seasons Hotel. We were delighted to meet with our old friends and new friends of Ambassadors and diplomatic envoys of over 30 countries during this trip. Their participation in our Celebration Cocktail was a great support to us and continuous affirmation to the Alliance’s vision, work and achievements. Furthermore, we are delighted to establish friendly relationship with five new countries in this trip, including Jamaica, Kenya, Rwanda, Vietnam and Yemen; and some of the meetings were instructed by their top government officials for exploring on potential cooperation with the Alliance and the First Ladies Association.

Mr. Sunny Wong, our Executive Chairman delivered a speech and presented the Alliance’s recent activities and achievements, including our second meetings at the Embassy of the Republic of France and Embassy of Russian Federation during this trip and our upcoming collaboration with the two countries in various aspects, such as the large-scale economic development projects with expected investment of USD10-30 billion. Mr. Wong also highlighted the Alliance’s two recent new initiatives of the First Ladies Association and the idea of transforming the Alliance into an organization similar to the United Nations, with reference to the structure of the United Nations. We are delighted to receive very positive feedback and comments from Ambassadors and diplomatic envoys of different countries on these two initiatives, and that these would be reported to the respective governments by the diplomats for further cooperation with the Alliance. For details, please refer to the respective news article on the “Highlights” of this delegation trip.

In addition, Mr. Wong announced the Alliance’s offer of donating vehicles to the following four embassies at Beijing: Embassy of the Union of the Comoros, Embassy of the Republic of the Congo, Embassy of Mongolia and Embassy of the Republic of Togo, for supporting their economic development activities and as a token of appreciation for their staunch support to the Alliance.

H.E. Mr. Borislav Maric, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to P.R.C., who is our old friend as well as our Honorary Advisor, made a short speech to express his gratitude to the Alliance and our Executive Chairman, Mr. Sunny Wong, for our donation of USD 100,000 to his government in July this year, for offering financial assistance to their people who were suffering from the devastating flooding in the country.  On behalf of his government, His Excellency presented the Letter of Appreciation from his country’s Foreign Ministry of Affairs to the Alliance, for extending their gratitude and appreciation on our donation.  Besides, H.E. Mr. Tsedenjav Sukhbaatar, Ambassador of Mongolia to P.R.C., who is our Honorary Advisor and a staunch supporter of the Alliance, shared with us his appreciation on the Alliance’s work in enhancing economic development and humanitarian aid in a global perspective which brings benefits to people in different countries.  His Excellency also expressed his gratitude to the Alliance for our offer of donating a vehicle to his Embassy for advocating its economic development activities, as well as our scholarship awarded to a Mongolian student for pursuing higher education in the United States.

We were delighted that the Cocktail Celebration was a great success, with honorable guests from different embassies joining us. Though some of the diplomats (such as diplomats from the Embassies of DPR Korea, Bolivia, Rwanda and Samoa) couldn’t join us due to their pre-scheduled commitments or urgent matters, they sent us their congratulatory remarks, best wishes or regards.

The Alliance will continue to commit itself in promoting world peace through economic development and humanity work. We would devote ourselves in helping different countries to strive for a fair share in the international arena, with the strong diplomatic strength currently enjoyed by the Alliance, with a network of close to 120 countries, as we expected the number of countries in our international cooperative network would reach to 120 by the end of 2014.  Furthermore, we are now realizing our dream of working on the path similar to the United Nations as we previously mentioned, by transforming the Alliance into an organization with similar functions and structure of the United Nations.
