Received a reply from TaiwanĄŻs President H.E. Ma Ying-jeou

We are glad to receive a recent reply from Taiwan’s President Office, dated August 25, 2014, in respond to our previous proposals sent to the Honorable President Ma Ying-jeou, on potential cooperation with Taiwan in different aspects.

We were greatly encouraged by the affirmative comments from the President Office on the Alliance’s work in advocating economic development, facilitating business partnership and exchanges as well as enhancing charities. The global work of the Alliance is being highly respected and commended as its mission is for a good cause.

We are sending a further proposal to the government of Taiwan, for collaboration in the areas of international trade, charities and cultural exchanges. Some key areas are highlighted as below:

1. The establishment of a Trade & Cultural Office in Taiwan, to facilitate international trade, business partnerships, charities, as well as cultural exchanges.

2. Working with the government on the possibility of granting of honorary titles to business and social leaders and philanthropists, so as to bring in more investment and charities to Taiwan and benefit the people of Taiwan.

3. The International Dreams Come True Scholarship Programme established by the Alliance, with the fund of US$10 million, would provide financial assistance to the underprivileged students in Taiwan; it would also attract students from other parts of the world to pursue study in Taiwan.

4. Collaboration on cultural exchanges projects, such as our large scale movie production project with investment of US$200 million. We would invite the elite movie production companies and practitioners from Taiwan to participate in our movie production projects. Any profits generated will be donated to the charities to help those in need.

We look forward to working with Taiwan on the above projects and initiatives, and developing close cooperation with its government.  We believe this would be a win-win situation for all parties concerned.
