This news article reports that former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Mr. Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State of the United States, would be representing the U.S. government to attend the funeral of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, former Prime Minister of Singapore.

The Alliance has sent proposals of cooperation to the U.S. government throughout the year.  We have been communicating with former U.S. President George W. Bush and former US Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice through emails and letters, for inviting them to join the Alliance and working with us on our potential cooperation with the U.S.  In our letter to President Obama on January 24, 2015, we have requested the U.S. government to give us an initial reply on our cooperation proposals, including the establishment of the Alliance’s Americas Regional Headquarters in U.S.A., and the invitation to the country for being the Permanent Security Council member of our newly structured Alliance.  We believe the U.S government has taken the opportunity of the occasion of Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew’s funeral, in which the two top former U.S. government officials, President Clinton and Mr. Kissinger are representing the U.S., to give direction and insight to our request. We are convinced that President Bush and Dr. Rice will be representing the interests of working with us in different aspects for the welfare of humanity, and that they will be supported by the U.S. to facilitate our cooperation with the country, similar to the representation by President Clinton and Mr. Kissinger in attending Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew’s funeral.

We highly appreciate that the U.S. government has been giving significant attention to the potential cooperation between the U.S. and the Alliance, and that our ongoing communications with President Bush and Dr. Rice since the early development stage of the Alliance, has been giving us lots of insights and directions on our cooperation with the U.S.

Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, was an influential political leader who made very significant contributions in the economic development of Singapore and the success of the country. He was a respected Asian political giant who had substantial influence in the Asia-Pacific region, and lots of world leaders attended his funeral, such as the Prime Ministers of Australia, India and Japan. Once again, we believe the U.S government has taken the opportunity of such occasion to recognize the contributions of the Alliance and the proposed “Nation of Peace”, as led by our Executive Chairman, in promoting world peace through enhancing economic development and humanitarian aid, similar to the recognition of the contributions of Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.  The Alliance, as a unique international organization with strong economic and political strength, is committed in our work of promoting world peace and contributing to striking a balance in the world order with our soft power. We believe we would make significant contributions in making this world a better place and benefiting over 7 billion people.
