These two news articles mentioned about some of the comments made by President Putin of Russia during his annual end-of-year news conference held in December 2014, as well as in his interview in a TV programme in Russia in November 2014, regarding the Ukraine issue and Russia’s current economic crisis. We have sent proposals to President Putin in November and December 2014, for establishing a special economic zone in Crimea based on the successful model of Hong Kong, and with the possibility of leasing the ports there to Russia for US$100 for 100 years.  We strongly believe our proposals could provide some ideas to President Putin on peaceful settlement of the Crimea crisis and that President Putin’s speech has provided us the direction on this as well. We are confident that President Putin would agree with this proposal which is one of the best solutions to the current situation both economically and politically, as from his comments made in the public speech.  In addition, we highly appreciate President Putin’s virtue of not walking out of his good friends in difficult times, as mentioned in his speech, and that we would deeply cherish our friendly working relationship with Russia and President Putin.
